We urgently need funds to step up our Keep Cruelty History campaign - we need to do all we can to prevent a return to hunting.

The new government has decided that MPs will vote on whether to consider repealing the Hunting Act (which would take place at a later time) and this could happen at 3 days' notice.

Our plans are already in place but the more funds we raise the more people we will reach.  We need to:

  • Monitor the situation in Parliament so we know as soon as the vote is announced
  • Lobby MPs even more intensely and hold an event prior to the vote
  • Raise awareness across the country in order to create huge public pressure on MPs; MPs listen to their constituents
  • Ensure media coverage
  • Hold publicity events

If the result of the vote is a majority of 'Yes' then the government will schedule a debate about the Hunting Act and vote on whether to repeal it.  We would then need to engage into a second phase of the campaign in order that they vote 'No' this time.

The more people we reach out to, the more difficult it will be for MPs to ignore public opinion.  Around 75% of the public want hunting to stay banned.  We just need them to tell their MP!

  • With every gift we receive we can reach more people through mass media and online.
  • Our target is to raise £300,000 to cover the first phase of the campaign which is already under way.

Your donation will also help fund our other campaigns to bring an end to the cruelty of commercial shooting, snaring and bullfighting, and to gain adequate welfare for racing greyhounds.

We also need funds to get our new Fighting Dogs campaign off the ground, to tackle the horrific cruelty that animals bred and made to fight suffer.
